I. Use of Cookies
A) Which cookies do we use?
We use so-called cookies on our website.
Cookies are small text files that are sent by our web server to your internet browser during your visit to our website and are stored on your device for later retrieval.
These cookies allow users to be identified and help make the use of our website easier for visitors.
We use the following types of cookies on our website:
- [PHPSESSID] – This cookie is used to identify your session on our server. It contains only an alphanumeric string and is stored only for as long as a connection to our server exists; it is deleted at the end of the session.
- [_ga] – This cookie is part of Google Analytics and is used to identify a user. It contains only a numeric sequence and is stored for two years.
- [_gat] – This cookie is another component of Google Analytics. It is used to control the request rate of website usage. The content of this cookie is a number, and it is stored for a duration of 10 minutes.
- [_ga-disable-UA-XXXXXX-1] – This cookie is also part of Google Analytics. It is used to store your decision regarding whether or not your user behavior should be tracked by Google Analytics. The content of this cookie is “true,” and it is stored for ten years.
B) Disabling Cookies
You may decide at any time whether cookies may be set and retrieved. You can configure this in your browser settings. Within these settings, you can disable the storage of cookies, restrict them to specific websites, or configure your browser to notify you whenever a cookie is to be set and request your consent. It is also possible to block or delete individual cookies. If you disable cookies, some functions of our website may not be fully available.
II. Creation of Log Files
When our website is accessed, our server automatically collects data and information that are stored in log files. The type and extent of the data collected and used differ depending on whether you visit our website solely for informational purposes or whether you wish to use the services we offer.
The following data may be collected for purely informational use:
Information about the browser type and version, your operating system, and your Internet service provider. The IP address currently assigned to you, as well as the date and time of access
Websites from which you accessed our website, and websites accessed via our website
The processing of this data serves solely to provide and optimize the content of our website. The data are stored separately from other personal data so that no personal profiling takes place. The IP address is anonymized before storage. The created log files are automatically deleted after 7 days.
III. Contact Options
Our website provides a contact form for quick electronic communication.
You may also contact us via the email address provided.
The data transmitted in the course of such contact will be stored to enable us to process your inquiry or to contact you.
IV. Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).
Google Analytics also uses cookies—text files stored on your computer—that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA.
IP anonymization has been activated on our website, so that your IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.
On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide us as website operators with other services related to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly; however, please note that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.
Furthermore, you can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) as well as the processing of these data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link:
https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
Alternatively, you can prevent data collection by Google Analytics by setting an “opt-out cookie” by clicking here. If you delete the cookies in your browser, you will need to click this link again afterward.

V. Social Media Plug-ins
YouTube
To embed videos, we use the services of YouTube LLC:
YouTube LLC
901 Cherry Ave.
San Bruno, CA 94066
USA (“YouTube”)
Represented by: Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
When you play an embedded video, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. However, we have embedded our videos using YouTube’s enhanced privacy mode. According to Google’s privacy policy, this means that no personal data are evaluated and no information about visitors is stored unless the video is played. When a video is played, your IP address is transmitted to YouTube.
If you have a YouTube account and are logged in, the information that you viewed the video will also be associated with your user account. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account before accessing the video.
We have no knowledge of, nor any influence over, any further data collection or use of your information by YouTube. For more detailed information, please refer to YouTube’s privacy policy:
https://policies.google.com/privacy
VI. Use of Service Providers and Disclosure to Third Parties
Your data will be shared for the purpose of providing this website and, if necessary, with technical service providers who support us (e.g., website hosting, website maintenance, quality assurance, or mail services).
We have carefully selected and contractually commissioned these service providers in writing. They are bound by our instructions and are regularly monitored by us.
Your data will otherwise only be disclosed to third parties if we explicitly point this out in our privacy policy, if there is a legal obligation to do so, or if you have given your consent.
VII. Data Security
To ensure data security, we use technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, destruction, or unauthorized access.
Our security measures are continuously adapted to technological developments. In addition, your personal data is encrypted using SSL technology when transmitted to us, in order to prevent access by unauthorized third parties.
VIII. Your Rights Regarding Data Processing
You may at any time request information about your personal data stored by us. You also have the right to request correction, restriction, or deletion of your personal data, provided that data storage is not required by law or necessary for business transactions, pursuant to Articles 15, 16, 17, and 18 GDPR.
Furthermore, you have the right to object under Article 21 GDPR and the right to data portability under Article 20 GDPR. Restrictions from other data protection laws may apply to the right of access and the right to erasure.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority under Article 77 GDPR.
Any consent you have given may be withdrawn or amended at any time. Changes or withdrawals of consent apply to the future.
IX. Legal Basis for Processing
Personal data is processed in accordance with legal provisions, in particular to fulfill contractual obligations (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Data is therefore processed so that we can provide the services you have requested.
Furthermore, we may process data to protect our legitimate interests or those of third parties (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), for example for advertising purposes, provided you have not objected to the use of your data, or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims and/or to prevent and investigate criminal offenses.
If you have given consent for specific purposes under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, data processing will be based on your consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time, but this does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out before the withdrawal.
X. Duration and Storage of Personal Data
Your personal data will be stored and processed by us for as long as necessary to fulfill the contractual obligations agreed with you and our legal obligations. When your data is no longer required for contractual or legal purposes, it will be deleted—unless we still need it for the following reasons:
To comply with commercial and tax retention obligations, which generally last between 2 and 10 years.
If the data is required for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims, it will also not be deleted (Article 17(3) GDPR).
Limitation periods may last up to 30 years.
Further storage may occur if required by European or national legislation in regulations, laws, or other provisions to which we are subject.
Once a retention period expires or the purpose of storage no longer applies, the personal data will be routinely blocked or deleted.
XI. Information About Your Right to Object Under Article 21 GDPR
You may at any time object to the processing of your personal data. If you object to data processing, we will no longer process your personal data unless compelling legitimate reasons for processing can be demonstrated which override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or if processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
If we process your personal data for advertising purposes, you may object to such processing at any time.
You can submit your objection to us informally.
Cookie Consent Banner
To manage the cookies and similar technologies (tracking pixels, web beacons, etc.) used on our site and the related consents, we use the consent management tool “Real Cookie Banner.”
Details on how “Real Cookie Banner” works can be found at https://devowl.io/de/rcb/datenverarbeitung/.
The legal bases for processing personal data in this context are Article 6(1)(c) GDPR and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the management of cookies, similar technologies, and related consents.
Providing personal data is neither legally nor contractually required, nor is it necessary to conclude a contract. You are not obliged to provide personal data. However, if you do not provide it, we cannot manage your consent preferences.
